Question by JiggaJigga: Will aftermarket performance parts affect (in a bad way) the performance my BMW?
I want to put some aftermarket DINAN performance stuff to my BMW 650i. Wouldn’t the weight distribution change? Or maybe adding power is a bad thing because my brakes will still be the same?

Without spending tens of thousands of dollars, you won’t get enough power to warrant high performance brakes (but hell, they’re still nice to have!)
Performance parts and weight distro…nothing to big, most performance parts are actually lighter than the OEM – you’ll be fine. If you intend to lower your vehicle you had better be prepared to pay the price – lowering changes aerodynamics and party wear. make sure you get an alignment.

@kyndralae This is why I’m going to be an Engineer. I’d rather be happy and successful, than filthy rich, arrogant, and rude. Usually people who own nice BMW’s do not post comments putting down others. I’m 17 and have an e90 330i. Atleast boy9878 has a good sense of humor.

Dinan is not the best route. Aftermarket performance parts on a BMW are almost always a waste of money. If there was extra “reliable” power left in just bolting a few parts on, BMW would have done it themselves.
The only real power to be had in a BMW is on the 6 cyl engines with the addition of aftermarket cams, and/or headers. Most of which is a violation of the emmissions regulations for a street driven car.
I’d leave it alone and take the car to some driving events and get soem instructor time in a performance enviroment.
