I mean, the Lexus’s & the Acura’s qualities & luxury features are not anywhere near to be compared with the German’s sport cars like BMW, Mercedez, Audi.

As far as performance goes, the Lexus’s & the Acura’s are far behind as compared to the Shelby Mustang, Dodge Challenger, & Chevrolet Camaro.

So why the Lexus & the Acura sport cars are too expensive?

That is because people are willing to pay for a high price Japaneses luxury vehicles. It is basically a top of a line Toyota and Honda that uses high octane fuel. If people keep on buying them, their price will continue going up. It is a basic of supply and demand.

Question by : What are the best performance parts for a acura integra?
Ok I want like a 1998 or newer acura integra I want a gsr but can’t find any so I’ll probably take the ls but what are the best performance parts I can put into the integra for like 1500-2000$ .. I was thinking like headers . Gaskets air intake air filther and maybe more how much would this cost ? Thanks

$ 1500 will buy you a good exhaust, header and intake. You’ll gain maybe 10-12hp, giving you…less than a GS-R still. Bottom line, when you’re on a budget like that, the cheapest modifications would be a for sale sign. You would be better served, if you want performance, to spend that extra $ 1500-2000 on a faster car to begin with. You can get a 90-95 Mustang GT 5.0 with more hp and about 2-3x the torque for $ 1500, and be faster than the GS-R, just for the price of the modifications you wanted to buy. The parts you could buy for that LS, you wouldn’t even notice they were on the car other than some extra noise.

Mind you, I’m not saying you can’t make it fast, I’m just saying it will cost some money.

Like 3.5 RL, and 3.2 CL. I drive an RL and I always wondered what the last 2 letters stood for. My friend said RL=Royal Luxury, TL=True Luxury, CL=Contemporary Luxury. But IDK about my friends explanation.

They don’t necessarily mean anything, but here are some ideas:

RL = Road Luxury / Replaces Legend. (Legend is an Acura model name in Japan) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_RL

What would be the easiest and cheapest way to increase the performance of a 93 acura integra? Should i just get cold-air intake and an aftermarket exhaust or what?

Go for the bolt-ons: intake, exhaust, headers. They’re not necessarily cheap, but the cheapest. And I think it’s better and cleaner than going for turbo/supercharge, it won’t wear out your engine and thus hurt your resale value. But if you do want to make a BEAST out of your car… well that is the way to go.
