RENAULT CLIO DCI – most common engine running problems

A few of the most common and annoying problems that make you fall out of love with your Clio. I’ve experienced a couple of these myself. Took my little diesel clio to the garage, and they found nothing wrong with her :( So, I spent ages trawling the net to find possible solutions – and found a REALLY informative FREE RENAULT FORUM. (They cover other marks as well) But the problems I list in my video, came up time and again on the forum – so, I decided to make a video for all Renault lovers out there. If the info in my video helps, please thumbs up so others will find the video too. Thanks :) The Forum: www.renaultforums.co.uk How to clean the TDC Sensor: www.youtube.com How to remove clean and refit the EGR valve www.youtube.com

Renault Trucks Sent to Coventry

renault trucks

Renault Trucks have taken the plunge and spent a total of £9 million in the UK this year  – £5 million on their new headquarters and £4 million on a flagship dealership in “Coventry”.

Either the French company are greatly in need of a map of the UK or their dealership-naming department used to work for the British Airports Authority.  London Stansted and London Luton have nothing on Renault Trucks Coventry – located firmly in the middle of Nuneaton.

Constructed on the site of the old Lynx Distribution warehouse, the new site has a four-bay workshop with two full-length pits and even a showroom capable of housing a Tractor unit.  Van servicing is taken care of by dedicated technicians and a dedicated bay under Renault Trucks’ “Fast & Pro” brand.

The 2 ½ acre site is controlled by the wholly owned Renault Trucks Commercials’ Tipton branch under the stewardship of dealer principal Chris Hammond.  The straight-talking Black Country Boss has done a great job at the Tipton branch, winning awards and keeping their heads well above water in these testing economic times.

The new site does not replace an existing facility – the Tipton branch is too far away to service the businesses in the ‘Coventry’ catchment area – especially bearing in mind the appalling traffic in the area.  As a consequence the £5m facility has just a handful of customers.  “It is a chicken and egg situation,” comments Hammond, “it is hard to get customers for a facility that isn’t completed and it is a bold move to build a facility with no customers lined up.

However, the company has already signed up a maintenance deal with a 250-strong trailer fleet.

As the site is not yet fully operational there are just ten new jobs that have been created.  This number is set to increase as the levels of business increase.  With four technicians already employed, the business plan for the facility is to house up to 15 technicians billing a targeted 3,000 hours per month.

On the sales side, there is already one dedicated salesperson in place – Hammond is actively recruiting for another sales specialist to start before the end of the year.  If you have local knowledge and fancy a move to a brand new dealership – give Chris a call.

Day to day management of the Coventry site will be under the stewardship of Rob Flemwell, recently of Gerard Mann, whilst the key parts and service roles will be taken on by Tipton management as dual roles.

in 2005 & 2006 renaults had the best engines in terms of reliablity(though not in terms of speed n power)..rather i think they still have it…i have rarely seen an renault engine going kaput in recent times….but the renault wasnt the fastest of the lot in 2005 rather Mclaren-Mercedes MP4-20 was the quickest car that season….but also one of the most unreliable cars….and in 2005 Ferrari had one of their worst seasons …and no other team came close to them, in 2006 again McLaren’s had lot of reliablity issues and were finally out of championship contention as the season started to end…ferrari though had an better car as F2006 which was slightly better than the Renault and equal to Mclaren in terms of Aerodynamics but engine again was an big issue and the championship determining race at suzuka saw Michael’s ferrari blowing off…..and Renaults which as i said aerodynamically not as brilliant as ferrari but engine wise being the best in terms of reliablity again won the championship….But if seen closely than Alonso won his championships by not fighting with the championship contenders but by cashing in on their bad luck….like in 2005 and/or 2006 i hardly saw Alonso pulling off an brilliant over taking maneuver against an Mclaren or Ferrari respectively(rather i couldnt remember even 1)…most of the races he drove from start to finish without his position changing ….like if he started from 2nd on the grid he may finish 2nd but would finish 1st only if the person in the front retires…!!…

Definately not this season they car is far slower than the Mclaren’s Ferraris and even BMW even with Alonso driving for them.

You never no what their car will be like though for 2009 they might make big improvements to the car and with the new regulations next year with restrictions on aerodynamics then they will be closer to the top and on a crazy race like Canada they could get a win again. But it will probably be a while till they win again

What benefits does a Renault rental offer to UK drivers?

renault parts

You may feel a little apprehensive about leasing a Renault, particularly if you’re new to leasing and have never had the opportunity to drive a Renault before.

So to put your mind at ease let’s cover what a Renault lease could offer you. Of course it’s cheaper and more flexible than buying but why should you lease a Renault instead of another model.

Considering this let’s consider what a Renault can offer, compiling using LeaseCar.co.uk:

Renault motors are seemingly loved by the public because of their smooth journey and link between multi-purpose and fast driving. This entertaining and at the same time cultured picture has a large amount to do with diverse Renault advertisements which have become the rage over the past few years. Regardless of the muse of the brand loyalty and projected image, it seems that drivers are happy with Renault not only as the creator of automobiles but as a business and international behemoth. This may well clarify why Renault vehicles are so distinguished and how come they are heavily leased or bought by motorists in the UK.

With a new Renault you get a car with a stylish modern interior, smooth design features and vibrant colours. The display panel is brightly lit and easily visible and the fabrics and upholstery are of the best quality. There is also a sound system and easy to use control panel, which is ideal for the modern driver. The interiors are also easy to clean and maintain, making them perfect for young drivers and parents. The modern and practical design of Renault cars, as well as some of the other characteristics mentioned in this article, makes them ideal for young professionals that do a lot of city driving.

Most drivers prefer to choose a car that is both practical and functional as they want to feel completely comfortable in their vehicle. Part of this comfort comes from how well the car is designed and whether it can be driven and used with ease. Due to this, the engineers at Renault have pulled out all the stops to improve the functionality of their cars, focusing on what the modern driver wants from a vehicle. So Renault models have been designed to accommodate real life usage, such as having extra luggage and baggage space, as well as having additional safety features. Models in the Renault range are perfect for everyday run around driving and regular usage.

The great thing about Renaults is that they have been designed to be contemporary and classy, so they demonstrate a plethora of smooth lines running across the doors, bonnet, bumper and roof. They therefore appear smooth, clean and extremely stylish. The hues used in Renault bodywork are vibrant making them a true reflection of today’s culture of optimism and forward thinking. The smooth lines of a Renault make them simple to clean as well, which is just the ticket for people who want to portray a prosperous persona. Therefore, a Renault Megane leasing deal from LeaseCar.co.uk could be ideal for city drivers or twenty-something’s who are quite new to driving.

As many have attested the smooth drive of a Renault can’t be ignored, as it virtually cuts through the street with minimal effort. This could explain the reason why it is so efficient, as it is very economical to run. All of this means that you really enjoy getting behind the wheel of your Renault and taking it for a spin, irrespective of whether it is to a bustling shopping complex or your job base. What’s more they handle excellently giving you plenty of control and a world class grip on the road surface. This is the why the driving of Renault models really makes them stand out from manufacturers that create similar models.

Hopefully, due to reading these tips you feel better equipped to decide if Renault leasing is the best option for you when compared to other models.

RENAULT TRUCKS OUTPERFORMS IVECO, VOLVO & MAN

renault trucks

Renault Trucks has gained some ground in the UK market, outperforming Iveco, Volvo and MAN in April registrations and achieving an 8.94% market share, above 6 tonnes.

This result puts Renault Trucks at 6.83% market share to end April 2010, compared to 5.06% for the same period 2009.  “In a heavy truck market that’s down 26%, to gain market share is a significant achievement,” comments Nigel Butler, Commercial Director.

Of particular note in the April registrations, Renault Trucks took 13.7% of the total heavy tractor market, giving it a 10.6% market share for the year in this sector, up 3.1% over 2009.

Achievement in the 8×4 sector to the end of April was also good, at 11.7% market share for the month and 10.2% overall for the first four months.

Renault Trucks also performed well in the medium duty market (7.5 to 16 tonnes), with a 6.8% market share in April, up a massive 46% on the same period 2009.

“We’ve had good registrations in both March and April, coming from a mixture of fleet and retail network business,” points out Nigel.  “An increasing focus on fleet is starting to show results and improvements in the standard of our network over the last 12-24 months are really driving confidence in the Renault Trucks brand.”

He continues, “We have quite a strong order book for the months ahead which will enable us to continue to develop our market share through the middle part of the year.  Although we’re a long way from being clear of the current economic issues that the UK faces, we are definitely seeing some signs of increasing confidence from the market.”
