Question by jadeybear: fiat punto 1.2 question regarding steering wheel warning light?
Hello mechanics!!!
And HELP!!!
I have a fiat punto 1.2 2000 reg which after 8 months of owning took on the motor way, for the first time, over the weekend. After about an hour and a half of driving almost completely straight the power steering warning light came on, I was just about to exit the motor way, worried! I was approaching a round about wondering if the steering would work! It was fine! I have had no problems with the steering what so ever, apart from the annoying light, which did exactly the same thing on my way return journey, showing after a long period of driving straight. Do you think I have a problem here? I feel it could be that because the steering is not being used much, due to driving straight, it thinks there is a fault, I have no clue about cars though! I also can’t really afford to take my car to a fiat dealer as I am scared of them telling me its not road worthy, I have been scaring myself reading forums!!!! ANY advise will be gratefully received

you power steering is electrical one and you motor is die,you need to replace you steering column with motor and modul,go to scrab yard and get for 40 or 50 quid
