Dead rear door speaker

My rear door speaker isn't working, so I took off the panel and removed the speaker. With the speaker connected to the wiring I tested the connections with a test light attached to a ground. Not only does it light up on both the + and -, but the speaker starts to work when I touch one of the terminals with the grounded test light. I'm not sure if its the + or - because neither is marked and both are the same size. I have tried another speaker that I know works and it does the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix this speaker.
