remanufactured engines for a 2000 ford explorer?

Question by TOM W: remanufactured engines for a 2000 ford explorer?
My engine has a bad timing belt,2 weeks after i got it tuned up!
I was wondering what kind of engine I should replace it with, a used, rebuilt or a remanufactured.
I’ve been told this vehicle has a problem with this kind of item.
Any advice would be appreciated.

A rebuilt engine will be fine

If the engine is ok except for the belt then just replace the belt
Did you bend a valve…I believe that ford engines are designed to turn over without bending valves when the belt breaks, I could be wrong…..check that first and then change the belt!! Alot easier than changing the whole engine.
changing the belt is a lot cheaper than another engine but if you must change it I would go with a remanufactured one.
