Question by Rocker: Pontiac Cars?
What do you think about the new and future Pontiac cars. They claim they are going up against BMW. The Grand Prix is almost extinct and will be replaced by the G8. GTO is gone. What up with Pontiac?

Pontiac has become the spoiled brat division of GM. They don’t even design their own cars anymore. They take everyone elses designs, put the red triangle and sometimes a turbo on them and call them Pontiacs. At least they designed their own body for the Saturn/Opel designed Kappa platform (Sky, Opel GT, Solstice, Saab Aero X concept)

(Yes, I know the Solstice was the first released, but all Pontiac did with the design was the body and stiffened the suspension. Saturn and Opel spent almost two years designing it!)

Like 3.5 RL, and 3.2 CL. I drive an RL and I always wondered what the last 2 letters stood for. My friend said RL=Royal Luxury, TL=True Luxury, CL=Contemporary Luxury. But IDK about my friends explanation.

They don’t necessarily mean anything, but here are some ideas:

RL = Road Luxury / Replaces Legend. (Legend is an Acura model name in Japan) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_RL

TL = Touring Luxury (luxury touring car) / True Luxury

CL = Contemporary luxury / Coupe Luxury (luxury coupe)

i want a nice car that looks very smooth and young looking and is gas good. plus a car that i dont have to take to the shop repeatably because i heard cadillacs are trouble(american car i suppose).

but i dont want the old lookin cadillac cars but the new modern sleek lookin ones. its just hard to discribe but any suggestions

Lol nothing 2000 or newer is $ 2,000-6,000. Especially nothing Cadillac. Go to cars.com and you’ll see what you can get.

Question by That New Guy: Does the Infiniti G cars have iPod or mp3 player integration?
I know the Infiniti G35 doesn’t have them and I know that the 2010 G37 has the iPod integration, but what about the 2008-2009 G sedans?

Do they have iPod/auxiliary audio ports? Do they have a hard drive at all for uploading songs or ripping music?

I just want you to understand something real quick, The 2007-2008 G sedans are all called G35′s. The new Generation G sedan was completley redesigned in 2007 and labled a G35, in 2009 Infiniti changed the series badge to a G37 because the engine now produced 328 HP with a 3.7 litter engine opposed to the 306 HP enigne in the 2007-2008 G35 sedans. The car did not change at all in 2009 all they did was upgrade the engine. The G37 label came from being a (3.7 litter) vehcile. This is exactly what BMW did, they labled their completely redesigned 3 series in 2006 a BMW 325i but then they upgraded the engine in 2007 it was labled a BMW 328i sedan, they still stayed exactly the same from the exterior and Interior. The old G35 was discontinued in 2006 and the newly redesinged one was sold in 2007. =)

Now to answer your question, all redesigned Infiniti G35/G37 sedans from the year 2007-2009 have Ipod Integration, thats why they all come standard with an LCD screen regardless if you dont opt for the Navigation system, you can scroll on the screen to search for songs directly from your ipod. The auxilary input/integration system is found inside the center console, all you have to do is open it up and the input should be at the bottom. When you first buy the G, Infiniti gives you the USB chord which should also be packaged inside the center console. Inorder to record songs onto the car you must opt for the Navi system (technology package), you will be able to store 2,500 songs. All Infiniti’s also come with a hard drive you can pull in and out from your car and upload them from your computer and store them in your G sedan.

yea it does its a 3.5l v6 sohc engine

the new odyssey is actually a fun minvan to drive, ive test driven one at a dealership and it handles really good for a minivan

My ex-wife had one when we first got together. It was noisy and rough riding, but it had over 160,000 miles on it and was very dependable. I have to give it credit for being tough. She rarely bothered to check the oil, much less get it changed. Someone is probably still driving that old heap. The only significant problem she ever had was a wiring harness meltdown, caused by a bad install on a cheap radio.

Diesel versions of Maruti Swift and Maruti Ritz use same diesel engine Fiat DDiS CRDi engine that gives mileage upto 22kmpl. I have seen in some forums written that while driving Ritz, someone felt a ‘serious turbo lag’ which is not found in Swift. Is this true?

Ritz diesel is the same as Swift diesel in all respects. However, it is tuned for fuel efficiency than for providing power on tap unlike in Swift. So there is a small compromise in terms of power. Otherwise its a great car though not as much fun to drive as the Swift.
