I bought a car from Amy Metsker, 1990 Toyota Tercel for $ 300. She said it needed a new engine. So, I need to find a place near Goldendale Washington that sells engines. They must run. Know of any place???
Also, I do want to get a new engine. so i can put it in. I have friend who owns a car repair shop, he said he’d teach me how to take out the old one and install the new one.

you can get a different car and possibly better than spending the cash on that

havent checked the site. it all depends on the person building your engine. you can get a good engine and a bad engine out of the same shop. Go to the place in person if you can and ask questions on their procedure for rebuilding, warranty available. generally a poorly built engine will last longer than the usual 30 day warranty but not longer than a year. it’s all about cleanliness when rebuilding along with proper techniques. and make sure they use torque plates when checking cylinder heads

My engine has a bad timing belt,2 weeks after i got it tuned up!

I was wondering what kind of engine I should replace it with, a used, rebuilt or a remanufactured.

I’ve been told this vehicle has a problem with this kind of item.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Okay I need to replace the engine in my 1997 honda civic ex, most the auto shops where i live wont order crate engine, but some will put them in if we bring it to them, they all say labor around 1000 (yeah outragous! or alteast in my opinion!) the only place that will order it for me quotes the price of it around 800, I just wondering if anyone knows of somewhere cheaper to order them from?

Right now only the other Ford teams are using the new Ford engines. Do you think it is a mistake for Roush to not go ahead and his drivers work with the new engines also?

I do not have much experience with V6 Honda engines because it’s very rare in the Singapore market. One thing I can say is that Honda is more famous for their inline fours. My personal favourite is K20 DOHC i-VTEC. But there are 2 variants to the K20 in the Asian market. One is 160BHP the other is 225BHP.

Surprisingly,the fuel consumption is good too. the 160BHP K20 can hit 16km/litre while the 225BHP BHP K20 can achieve 12km.litre. Few engines can achieve such power output to fuel consumption proportion. Although the 225BHP K20 produces such high power output for a NA engine, it has potential to be tuned to 250 to 260 BHP. It breaks the 100BHP/1000cc barrier for a NA engine besides the BMW M series engines.

The new 1.8 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine is also worth mentioning. 140BHP – 18km/litre. That is really a breakthrough in fuel consumption technology. Available in the new Civic VTI.
