I just bought a new scion, on my maintenance book it says the first oil change should be done 5,000 miles or 5 months. Should I follow the maintenance book or do the oil change within 3,000 miles or 3 months?

Question by Christina A: How available are parts for Scion xA?
I’m considering buying a used Scion xA, but I’m a little wary because they don’t make them anymore. Does anyone know if it’s difficult to find replacement parts for the xA when something breaks down? Do they still make parts for these cars? Oh, and I’m specifically talking about the 2006 but if you know anything about the 2004 or 2005 editions I would love to hear it.

i saw a scion in the parking lot near a Barnes & Nobles, and i just realized how small the tires were compared to the ones on my car. i was wondering about whether or not they where out faster than larger tires.

No. The only thing that can cause the tires to wear faster then the tires on another car come down to a few simple concepts.

1. The way the car is driven (Like a race car or a grandma, etc…)
2. How well the owner keeps up on maintenance. If you let the alignment fall out and leave it like that, the tires aren’t going to last as long as they should.
